The words keep rolling around and around in my head. Words I can’t shake. Words that stir my heart. Words that at the same time give me courage and hope, yet also make me wonder if I have that kind of faith. Words that call me to dig deep and TRUST GOD.
Call it a reason to retreat
I got some dreams that are bigger than me
I might be outmatched, outsized, the underdog in the fight of my life
Is it so crazy to believe
That You gave me the stars, put them out of my reach
Called me to waters a little too deep
(“Beyond Me”, by Toby Mac)
The underdog in the fight of my life and I’m totally outmatched. Am I worthy to dream the dreams I feel God placing on my heart? Do I have any business imagining something different? How can this improbable dream ever become reality?
Several years ago, I started to pray, “Where do you want me, God?”
God took my small thoughts and replied with a big answer.
